23/03/2009
To help celebrate its 10th Anniversary, MediCinema the charity that brings the magic that is cinema to patients in hospital, has secured a collection of over 50 signed original lip prints from some of the biggest names in film.
The Healed With A Kiss collection features signed lip prints from a stellar list of film celebrities including Kate Winslet, John Travolta, Keira Kinghtley, Daniel Craig, Sigourney Weaver, Bill Nighy, Madonna, Liam Neeson and Dame Helen Mirren to name but a few.
The entire collection of over 50 kisses will be on display from 31st March – 8th April in the Healed With A Kiss Exhibition at The Movieum, County Hall, London. The original signed lip prints will be auctioned on 2nd April by Hugh Edmeades, Chairman of Christie’s, South Kensington, at The Healed With A Kiss Party to celebrate 10 years of MediCinema. The auction is open to all film enthusiasts who can register, in advance, to bid online for an original signed lip print and a genuine item of film memorabilia on www.medicinema.org.uk
Ewan McGregor, an active and longstanding Patron of the charity, said “I am delighted to participate in the Healed With a Kiss initiative, having seen at first hand how much patients and their families look forward to an all-encompassing cinema experience and welcome break from the daily routine of life on the hospital wards.”
