Celeb2nds.com was founded in 2006 by Steve Howell. Steve started his first business Madison Bell Media Ltd with Dean Gibson (co managing director) and Colin Watts (former chairman of Media Campaign Services and Richard House Children Hospice) and has built up valuable experience in media and marketing.
Madison Bell Media’s core business is to create, re-size and pre-flight check and digitally deliver national and international press and magazine advertisements to publications globally.
Madison Bell Media has and still works on campaigns for many charities including the British Red Cross, Great Ormond Streets ‘Jeans for Genes Appeal’, The BBC’s ‘Comic Relief’, The NSPCC and many more. The biggest charity campaign to date was when the Tsunami hit in October 2004. Madison Bell Media were responsible for creating, resizing and delivering hundreds of magazine and press advertisements around the world, to publications that kindly gave the British Red Cross and the Disasters Emergency Committee, free media space within their publications. Madison Bell Media were able to offer a heavily discounted conversion rate and gave 15% of the monies back for the cause. Madison Bell to date has converted tens of thousands of advertisements for well over 6000 press advertisers.
Having pioneered Madison Bell Media’s success, Steve came up with the Celeb2nds concept having attended many charity balls and having been involved with lots of charities marketing and press campaigns. Having completed two years of research, attending meetings with talent agencies, charities, celebrity agents, publicists and celebrities direct, Steve felt that there was room in the auction market for a celebrity niche / charity based auction site and an ideal chance for charities to raise extra funds through auctioning celebrity items and experiences.
